3 Months of Weight Watchers

I have been officially attending Weight Watchers meetings since mid February. This plan is really helping me. I am still working out 5 to 6 days a week, but tracking my food is a huge part of my weight loss.

I have lost 9.8 lbs in the last 3 months, but I could physically feel myself getting stronger.

I try to eat a ton of fruits and veggies. I eat processed foods but in moderation.

The weeks where I have lost the most weight are the weeks that I eat at least 5 servings of fruits or veggies a day, and that I do not go out to eat. I do still drink red wine, but I limit my intake to once a week. Skinny Girl California Red is my favorite and the least amount of weight watchers points.

Below is my workout routine:

- Monday, Wednesday, and Friday upper body weights, abs, and at least 25 minutes of cardio.
- Tuesday and Thursday is lower body squats, abs, and 45 minutes of cardio.
- Saturday or Sunday is a "fun" cardio day (bike riding, gardening, walking)

The next time I blog, I am hoping to have lost 15 lbs!

This is an easy, weight watchers friendly recipe.

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 4 - 6 Hours

Ingredients:
- 6 Mini Peppers (variety of colors)
- 1 Large Onion
- 2 Cans of Diced Tomatoes Drained (14 oz each can)
- 1 Can of Tomato Sauce (8 oz)
- 1 Tbsp Oregano
- Salt & Pepper to Taste
- 5 Links Italian Turkey Sausage
- 1/2 lb Whole Wheat Pasta or 1 Cup Brown Rice
- Parmesan Cheese (Grated)

Wash and slice peppers in long strips. Make sure to remove the seeds. Chop the onion into wedges.

Spray a 5 qt crockpot with cooking spray (I use Olive Oil Spray). Add the sliced peppers, quartered onions, oregano, diced tomatoes, and tomato sauce. Mix well.

Cut the links of Italian sausage in 1 inch pieces. Mix the sausage into the crockpot.

Cook on low for 6 hours stirring occasionally or cook on high for 4 hours. Serve on top of whole wheat pasta or brown rice.
