Gym Etiquette

In the middle of one of my lunchtime workouts today, a girl  - as skinny as a rail - walked up to me and asked me if I wanted her to show me some ab exercises.  What the what?!?!  Is she serious?

1. No... just no.  Why would anyone come up to someone working out and interrupt them.  Obviously since she sees me using a TRX band for 10 different exercises, she could safely assume that I know my way around the gym.  I really just think that is rude.

2.  Why would I want ab tips from a girl that was just skinny not toned or healthy.  I will stick to my trainer thank you very much.

3.  Don't be that person that tries to have a conversation with the runner in the middle of their workout.  We have headphones on so we do not have to talk to you.

So I came across this article today while I was browsing Facebook. I wonder if this is worth trying for a week to see if I get results....

Sherwood Forest B&B - Douglas, MI

My boyfriend bought me a weekend at Sherwood Forest B&B for my birthday.  We went in June and it was lovely!  The drive from Chicago was only 2 1/2 hours with traffic.  There are a ton of wineries that you could stop by along Lake Michigan.

When we got to Sherwood Forest, Keith and Sue (the owners) were welcoming, knowledgeable, and made us feel comfortable considering this was our first b&b.

We stayed in the Log Cabin Suite which was amazing.  There is a HUGE 2 person Jacuzzi, a fireplace which is in between the jacuzzi and the bedroom, a love seat, a mini bar with a fridge, and was so clean!  Sleeping there was amazing.  It is quiet and the air was so clean.  My allergies were non-existent there.

Breakfast was delicious!  We were there for 3 nights / 4 days, but there was no overlap in food!  Breakfast 1 was cinnamon orange french toast, Canadian bacon with fresh fruit, yogurt, and granola.  This was my favorite because I am a french toast connoisseur.  Breakfast 2 was a spinach, egg, and asparagus quiche accompanied with fresh fruit and bran muffins.  I am normally not an "egg" eater, but this was an exception.  It was really really delicious.  Breakfast 3 was a great too.  I did not eat the "main" dish because I wasn't that hungry, but I did have a blueberry muffin / cake with fresh fruit.  I was extremely impressed with the meals there.

Sherwood Forest is close enough to downtown Saugatuck, but far enough that it doesn't feel "touristy."  You are close to a public beach which is great for the sunrise.  We mainly stayed at the pool at Sherwood Forest.  There are chairs and tables in the back which is great.  They have a guest fridge in the area too.  There are tons of bikes you could borrow to ride around.

Honestly, I could go on and on about how amazing my birthday weekend at Sherwood Forest B&B was, but I think you get my point.  I cannot wait to go back and am excited to go in the fall / winter too!

Michigan

We went to a bed and breakfast this weekend in Saugatuck MI.  If you have never been there go. And if you have not stayed at Sherwood Forest Bed and Breakfast stay there.

Very relaxing, great scenery, and such a good time!  Here is a picture from my 3 1/2 mile run on Saturday.
